Cheryl Jean Moats

Cheryl Manning Moats, age 69, passed away on September 21, 2026, surrounded by her family at Tennova Medical Center. Cheryl was a graduate of Farragut High School, Class of 1975. She enjoyed time with her family and cherished her time with her son, Justin. She was of the Baptist faith.

Cheryl was predeceased by her husband, Darrell Moats, and her parents, Ray and Marjorie Manning.

She is survived by her son, Justin Moats of Loudon; sister, Faye Wilson of Loudon; sister-in-law, Brenda Beeler (Mike); brother-in-law, Myron Moats of Knoxville; aunt, Joann Jenkins (Dillard) of Loudon; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tennova Medical Center for the care they provided during her illness.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Loudon Funeral Home. A short service will follow. The graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Lynhurst Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee.
