Carolyn Lynn

Carolyn P. (Brown) Lynn, age 84, of Loudon, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on September 25, 2026.

Carolyn retired from Maremont Corporation after more than 30 years of service. During that time, she formed many lasting friendships. She was a loving mother and Nanny to her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Liles (Wade), Lori Smallwood (Tony), and Lisa Wallace. She had nine grandchildren: Amanda Carter (Nick), Brandon Liles, Cooper Liles, Marshall Lynn (Hannah), Keylee Wallace, Karstyn Wallace, Shelby Ball (Josh), Colby Moore, and Sydney Whited (Johnathan).

She also had nine great-grandchildren: Case Carter, Georgia Carter, Abigail Lynn, Lilah Lynn, Samuel Lynn, Natalie Ball, Atlas Ball, Jack Whited, and Eve Whited. She loved her family very much and was so very proud of them all.

She is also survived by one sister, Sherry Dupree, and one brother, Terry Brown; and nephews Josh Markowicz, Joey Markowicz (Sarah), and Lewis Garner (Renee).

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby (Wallace) Brown and Woodrow Brown; sisters Tinsy, who passed away as a small child, Mary Jean Stephens, and Jayne McAllister; brothers Jimmie Hugh Brown and Johnny Brown; niece Cindy Smallen; and special nephew Jerry Markowicz.

The family will receive friends at Loudon Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1, from 12–1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with graveside services immediately afterward at Roberson Cemetery. The Rev. Pat Ervin will officiate.
