Caloway Nichols

Wayne Caloway Nichols, age 86 of Sweetwater, passed away at Woods Presbyterian Home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.  He pastored and served at many local churches over the past 60 years.  

Caloway was preceded in death by wife of 50 years, Barbara Nichols; Wife of 6 years, Judy Gunn Nichols; Parents, Wesley and Ila Nichols; Brothers, Reed and Arvil Nichols; Sister, Bernice Miller.  He is survived by children, Darrin and Jill Nichols, Andy and Amanda Nichols, and Ennette and Anthony Martin; Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, Adriane and Kameron Miller and son Brooks, Connor and Danielle Nichols, Alesha and Luke Brackett and daughters Magnolia and Livey, Abby and Tanner Cagle and daughter Emersyn, and Lillie Nichols; Brother, L.H. Nichols; Sister, Priscilla Martin; Caloway is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  

 Family and friends will meet at East Sweetwater Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, May 24, 2024 for 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Rev. Tommy Self will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Gideons International.
