Bill Johnson

William "Bill" Johnson, Jr., age 87 of Sweetwater passed away Tuesday evening, July 3, 2018. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as plant manager at Smith Chair Company. Bill served as a volunteer chaplain for the Loudon County Sheriff's Department and Ft. Loudoun Medical Center. He attended Fairview Baptist Church of Sweetwater. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Zeta Johnson and his parents, William, Sr. and Eula Johnson. He is survived by his sons, Steve and Lori Johnson, of Winston Salem, NC, Phillip and Ann Johnson, of Sweetwater, and daughter, Ruth and John Preston, of Lenoir City; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Special Thanks to the Sweetwater Nursing Center for their care of our Dad. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday at Loudon Funeral Home, with funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Johnny Carr officiating. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City with Rev. Denny Moore officiating. Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
