Bette Anne Kania age 83 passed away from this life and entered the next on August 12, 2023 at NHC-Sequatchie in Dunlap, TN.

 

Born in Huntsville, Alabama, she spent her younger years in Detroit, MI. Later in life as a wife and mother she spent time in Battle Creek, MI and Hendersonville, TN finally settling in Tracy City, TN.

She was a great mother and grandmother who encouraged us to explore life and stay active. She was a loving and kindhearted woman, who could be tough and feisty when needed. She loved Motown music, saltwater beaches, travel and meeting new people. She is a good soul who will be missed by us all.

Her surviving family members include son Michael Kania, daughter Lisa Kania and sister Barbara Caslow. Grandchildren include Jessica White, Jordan Rice, Casey Kania, Steven Kania and Becky Kania. Great-grandchildren include Alexander, Cooper, Killian, Christopher, and Colin. Other important family members include nephew Phillip Caslow and brother-in-law Bob Caslow. Additional family members include niece Sherry Bingham, nephew Billy Massingill and niece Victoria Hunt.

Bette was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Kania, son Paul Kania and grandson Tyler Kania. She joins parents Edward and Evelyn Burnett, sister Martha Brown and brother Edward Burnette, Jr in the heavenly reunion.

 

There will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 19, 2023, at Coalmont Cemetery in Grundy County TN.
