Bennie Preston 'Scottie' Scott

Bennie Preston “Scottie” Scott, age 81, of Philadelphia, TN, went to his final rest on March 29, 2026. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. A longtime employee of Maremont, Preston was known for his exceptional tool and die craftsmanship.

Preston was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Scott; mother, Lucille Scott; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Birdie Scott; brother, Gary Scott; and nephew, Michael Scott.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen May and Susan Davis; ex-wife and dear friend, Brenda Scott; sons-in-law, Brian May and Chris Davis; grandchildren, Brianna May and Michael Smith, Catherine Davis, Alix Davis, and Collin Davis; and great-granddaughter, Dakota Rehling.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Loudon County Animal Shelter.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Loudon Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM with Danny Thornburg officiating.
