Alma Moore

Alma JuanitaThompson Nix Moore, of Loudon, TN, was born on January 20, 1930. She went to be with the Lord on Christmas morning, December 25, 2017, after an extended illness. Alma was a member of Valley View Free Will Baptist Church; and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent her life witnessing and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nix and her second husband, J.W. Moore; granddaughter, Tiffany Hudson; grandson-in-law, James Doss; parents, W.R. and Dora Thompson; brothers, Gene, Bill, Clifford and Mervin Thompson; and sister, Bernice Anderson. She is survived by her children; Barbara (Jim) Moyer, Jim (Sammie) Nix, Peggy (Malcolm) Williams, Earl (Imogene) Nix, Darlene (Dennis) Hudson; stepchildren, Bob Moore and Connie Black; grandchildren; Kim Miller, Keith Cornett, Lisa Hagerman, Jamie Nix, Kelli Doss, Jody Nix, Amy Curtis, Andrea Albright, Cherith Hendrick, Gethsemane Turner; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Roscoe, Charles, David, Sam and Donnie Thompson; and sisters, Wanda Eller, Joyce Colvard and Mary Shell, and several nieces and nephews. A Going Home Celebration will be 7pm Thursday, at Loudon Funeral Home, with Rev. Chad Oody officiating. Graveside service will be 2pm Friday at Davis Cemetery, with Rev. David Thompson officiating.
